A lo largo de la historia del Hombre, pocas ciudades míticas han despertado tanta curiosidad como El Dorado. Construida, en su totalidad con oro.

Se dice que los conquistadores españoles eran capaces de recorrer las selvas de Suramérica durante meses para encontrar una sola pepita de este elemento, que demostrara su existencia, aún cuando en el intento, perdiesen la vida.

El título de esta expedición es una alegoría a esta leyenda, comparada con el deseo de los hombres que fueron buscando en Canaima ese "El Dorado" arraigado en la mente del explorador y, en vez de encontrar oro, se consiguieron con el tesoro más grande que existe para un ser humano: el Paraíso escondido en la selva más remota
Personajes como Jimmy Angel, Sergey Anatoly, Alexander Laime, entre muchos otros, buscaron tesoros materiales y encontraron, en estos parajes, un verdadero tesoro espiritual conjugado en el verde de su selva, el ámbar de sus ríos, la presencia omnipotente de los tepuyes, el canto de sus animales, el olor de sus flores y el calor de su gente.

  2. Our services begin at the time of meeting with the group at an agreed location (Meeting Point);

  3. The starting point of this expedition can be from Brazil, receiving the group in the city of Boa Vista or from Venezuela in the city of Santa Elena de Uairén, so costs may vary (consult);

DAY 1.- GROUP MEETING. (Reception in Boa Vista)
Reception of the group at the Atlas Cantanhede International Airport in the city of Boa Vista. Transfer to the hotel in the city, where we will have a meeting to socialize and offer a briefing about what we will do in the following exciting days. (-/-/-)

DAY 2.- BETWEEN BORDERS. (Boa Vista/ Pacaraima/ Santa Elena)
Early in the morning, we have a transfer to the town of Pacaraima (3 hrs), located on the border with Venezuela. Upon arrival, we do the customs procedures, cross the border line, make transfers and formalize the permits at Venezuelan customs. We go to the city of Santa Elena de Uairén, to our accommodation, where a complete talk will be given about our expedition in one of the most beautiful regions of the Amazon. (-/-/D)

DAY 3.- IN THE GRAN SABANA. (Santa Elena/ Gran Sabana)
After breakfast, we take our 4x4 vehicle, where we will pass through the Gran Sabana highway, making several stops to enjoy the landscape and take photographs. We will stop at the Jurassic Viewpoint, from where we can observe the tepuis and savanna vegetation that remind us of a scene from the movie Jurassic Park. We will have a light lunch on the way (picnic). We are going to visit some beautiful waterfalls called Curtains of Yuruaní; we continue along the northern route to Arapán Falls, known as “Pacheco”, where we will take a refreshing swim. This day we will take short walks to go to the viewpoints and we will stop at different places to take photographs. In the afternoon we return to the Indigenous Community of San Francisco de Yuruaní and, from there, we take a dirt road of 25 kilometers (1 hour) until we reach the Indigenous Community of Paraitepuy de Roraima, which will be our starting point for the walk. . There we set up our tents to spend the night. (B/L/D)

DAY 4.- THE EXPEDITION BEGINS. (Paraitepuy Community/ Kukenan River Camp)
With a good breakfast and the camping equipment ready, we make the final logistical preparations for our expedition, such as weighing the load carried by each participant (only personal items, plus an insulating mattress and a sleeping bag). It is recommended to carry a maximum of 12 kg (men); 9 kg (women). We have an additional service of personal chargers (service to consult). We begin the walk towards the Río Kukenán camp (1,050 meters above sea level). The path is interesting since with each step we will get closer to the Precambrian colossi Roraima and Kukenán. We will cross several streams and two main rivers: the Tek River and the Kukenán River. This route lasts approximately 5 hours and we will have traveled about 13.5 km. We will spend the night on the banks of the Kukenán River in tents. (B/L/D)

DAY 5.- AT THE GATES OF THE LOST WORLD. (Kukenan River Camp / Roraima Base Camp)
We continue our march towards the Roraima Base Camp (1,950 meters above sea level). It is a unique walk where we will experience a temperature variation of 28°C to 24°C and a drop of 850 meters between the Kukenán River and the base of Roraima; where the fascinating endemic landscape, flora and fauna make us understand the respect and ancestral veneration of the indigenous peoples for this place. Upon arriving at the base camp we can take a bath in cold, crystal-clear water coming from the mountain. Night in tents. (B/L/D)

DAY 6.- THE LOST WORLD. (Base Camp / Summit)
We begin the ascent through the only natural access that Mount Roraima has, called The Rampa (3.5 km), which has an approximate slope of 50° characterized by endemic vegetation, humidity, rocks of all sizes and streams; waterfalls caused by rain or dew on the surface. We cross the Straight of the Tears and continue ascending, until we reach the entrance to Lost World. This trail will take us around 4 to 5 hours of walking. Upon reaching the top, we will walk for another hour among rock formations that challenge our imagination; we arrive at some caves formed by wind erosion called Hotels, which will serve as a camp to place our tents. First night at the top. (B/L/D)

DAY 7.- THE TRIPLE POINT. (Valley of the Crystals / Triple Point / The Coatí Cave)
We take all our equipment and began the walk, approximately 4 hours, to the geographical landmark called Triple Point, which defines the borders between Brazil, the Essequibo Territory and Venezuela. During our march we will pass through various places, where we will find strange rock formations. We will pass through the Valley of Crystals, streams, abysses, until we reach the monument that marks the triple border. It is, then, when we move to the Brazilian side of Roraima. We arrive at a beautiful cave called The Coatí, where we spent the night. Second night at the top. (B/L/D)

DAY 8.- GLADYS LAKE. (Coatí Cave / Roraiminha Viewpoint / Lake Gladys)
We leave the camp very early in the morning to go to the Roraiminha Viewpoint, to see the impressive sunrise, while our breakfast is being prepared. Then, we begin the walk with our attack backpack, water and camera: what we need to live this day full of experiences in mystical and legendary places that have given lights to brilliant minds to write, study, investigate and, in our case, understand and enjoy this Lost World. We are going to visit the Bonsai Valley, the Cotinga River and the legendary Lake Gladys. We return to our camp. Free afternoon to take photos, visit Roraiminha again or enjoy the cave where our camp is located. Third night at the top. (B/L/D)

DAY 9.- RETURN TO THE MAIN HOTEL. (The Coatí Cave / Main Hotels)

Having enjoyed a magical experience on this side of Roraima, we leave the Coatí Cave to head to the Venezuelan side of the tepui. During the return, we will stop at The Pit, to enjoy a good swim. This giant cavity is a flooded cavern that takes us to a natural pool of cold water. From there, we continue our way to one of the main hotels, where we will set up camp and spend the night with a well-deserved rest. Fourth night at the top. (B/L/D)

DAY 10.- EXPLORATION DAY. (The Window/ Jacuzzis/ Crystal Eye Cave)
Today we will explore fantastic places at the top of the tepui; no backpack, just the camera and water bottle. We will pass through several places that will make us feel as if we were in another world. We will visit a spectacular and intimidating place called The Window, where we will appreciate the heights and see the neighboring tepui called Kukenán from a viewpoint. We will walk through the Pass of the Crystals, where we will learn how they were formed and feel the ancestral energy that this Lost World has; we continue to Cathedral Waterfalls, an ideal place to relax and meditate, we walk among strange rock formations called Yardangs, where we will explain how they were formed. We will go to the Jacuzzis, which are natural pools of cold, crystalline water, where we will take a refreshing and well-deserved swim. We will return to the camp and, in the afternoon, we will visit the Crystal Eye Cave, where we learn about speleothems. Return to our camp. Fifth night at the top. (B/L/D)

DAY 11.- THE DESCENT. (Summit/ The Ramp/ Base Camp)
Early in the morning we prepare to descend. But first we can climb to the highest point of the tepuy called The Maverick, which reaches 2,810 meters above sea level. We will have time to visit the Indian Lookout, which will give us another perspective of the savannah landscape from above. Then, we start the descent through The Ramp, having lunch (picnic) on the way next to a stream, arriving in the afternoon at the Roraima Base Camp (4 hrs). We get ready to enjoy the beautiful sunset starring the silhouette that Mount Kukenán offers us. (B/L/D)

DAY 12.- A DAY TO REMEMBER. (Base Camp / Tek River Camp)
After breakfast and having regained strength to continue, we begin the way back. This walk will last 4 hours, to the Kukenán River camp, which we must pass accompanied by our guides, due to how complicated it can be. Then we continue for about forty minutes to the Tek River, where we can enjoy a good rest and swim in the river. In the afternoon we will have a commemoration for this feat that must be experienced, at least once in a lifetime. (B/L/D)

DAY 13.- RETURNING FROM THE LOST WORLD. (Tek River Camp / Paraitepuy / Santa Elena- Boa Vista)
We leave the Tek River camp very early, after breakfast back to Paraitepuy. We board our transportation and head to the Indigenous Community of San Francisco de Yuruaní, to have lunch and buy some souvenirs and, from there, we go to Santa Elena de Uairén, for customs procedures, both in Venezuela and Brazil, arriving at the city of Boa Vista. DÍA 14.- EN EL SALTO ÁNGEL. (Caminata al Salto Ángel)
Visitaremos el Salto más alto del mundo. Caminaremos una hora en la selva del pie de monte del Auyantepuy, hasta llegar a una roca inmensa llamada Mirador de Laime. Dependiendo de las condiciones y criterio del guía, podremos descender hasta un pozo donde cae el agua del salto, para disfrutar de un frio y rejuvenecedor baño. Regreso al campamento a orillas del rio Churúm.. (D/A/C)

DÍA 15.- LAGUNA DE CANAIMA. (Salto Ángel/ Laguna de Canaima)
Salimos del campamento navegando rio abajo el Churúm, encontrándonos con la confluencia del rio Carrao. Seguimos rio abajo, pasando por la isla Orquidea, Pozo de la Felicidad, Rapidos de Arautaima y Sabana de Mayupa, donde dejamos el bote, para caminar una hora hasta el otro lado de la sabana. Allí retomamos el bote por unos 20 minutos más, hasta el Puerto de Ucaima, donde seremos llevados hasta nuestra posada cerca de la Laguna de canaima. En horas de la tarde, tendremos un paseo en bote por la laguna, donde estaremos tan próximos a las cascadas disfrutando de su energía. Veremos los saltos Ucaima, Wadaima, Golondrina, Hacha y haremos una caminata en las Isla Anatoly para llegar al Salto El Sapo, que atravesaremos detrás de sus cortinas de agua. Regreso al campamento, cena y pernocta en campamento. (D/A/C)

DÍA 16.- EL REGRESO. (Laguna de Canaima/ Santa Elena de Uairén)
Tomaremos un vuelo para sobrevolar el Salto Ángel y, posteriormente, nos dirigimos al aeropuerto de Santa Elena de Uairén, para pasar la frontera a Brasil y dirigirnos a la ciudad de Boa Vista, pernocta en hotel.. (D/A/C)

DÍA 17.- VUELTA A CASA. (Santa Elena de Uairén/ Boa Vista)
Tomaremos un vuelo para sobrevolar el Salto Ángel y, posteriormente, nos dirigimos al aeropuerto de Santa Elena de Uairén, para pasar la frontera a Brasil y dirigirnos a la ciudad de Boa Vista, pernocta en hotel.. (D/A/C)
